Dear Friends and Neighbours:
Several years ago, a number of concerned residents came together to explore what could be done to help the hundreds of homeless women in our community.
Following several public meetings and a major feasibility study, it became clear that there was a vital and pressing need to establish a shelter for single homeless women in York Region.
Today, thanks to people like you, we are much closer to attaining our goal of providing homeless women with safe shelter. But there is still much work to be done. We need your continued support and ongoing participation to keep this important initiative moving forward.
Once it opens its doors, Belinda's Place will offer hope to women without a home and life-changing services that promote stability, dignity and self-reliance. Working together, we will be able to give countless women in our community the chance to rebuild their lives and start anew.
